Abstract
Pseudorandom number generator programs can be modified by a simple procedure which has particular advantages for the shorter word binary computers. The method combines the result of any conventional arithmetic generator with the current state of counters by means of a logic instruction. A variety of statistical tests have indicated that good results are realized. Keywords
