Abstract
That part of the electromagnetic spectrum to which the human eye responds and sees as colour ranges from 0.4 to 0.7 microns, with optimum response in the yellow-green. This corresponds to the light falling on our planet's surface from the sun after undergoing filtration by the atmosphere. In other words, our central nervous system responds to the best available light after having evolved within these natural light conditions. Keywords
