Abstract
Summary: The sand/matrix ratio technique is described and has been shown to provide a rapid method of correlating till units in the Cumberland lowland which belong to separate glacial phases. Basal tills have a relatively constant sand/silt-matrix ratio compared with flowage tills in the same locality. Keywords
