Abstract
Thermal decomposition of dibenzoyl peroxide and bis(4-substituted benzoyl) peroxides in diphenyl ether or anisole affords phenyl benzoate and 4-substituted benzoates, respectively, arising from ipso-substitution in the aryl ethers by the corresponding benzoxyl radicals.Keywords
