Abstract
The maximum of acid swelling of gelatin is at ph 2.6 and of alkali swelling at pH 9.8; the minimum swelling is at ph 5.0 (iso-electric point). The effect of NaCl on swelling is shown with varying pH and temp. A theoretical discussion is included. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
