Abstract
Physaria vitulifera, a species endemic to the mountains of northcentral Colorado, is composed of diploid (2n = 8) and tetraploid (2n = 16) races that occupy distinct geographical areas. Morphological, cytological, and other experimental evidence suggests that the tetraploid plants arose as an autotetraploid race directly from the diploid race. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
