Differential scanning calorimetry of membranes isolated from Bacillus megaterium spores

Abstract
Inner membranes isolated from Bacillus megaterium spores had a broad endothermic phase transition between 6 and 26 °C. Spores grown in isoleucine initiated germination at lower temperatures than control spores grown in glucose and their membrane endotherms were depressed about 8 °C.
