Abstract
The relativistic matrix continuum distorted-wave model is extended to electron capture from any arbitrary shell of the target to any arbitrary shell of the projectile. A general analytical simple formula for the scattering amplitude is obtained. Applications for the cases of charge exchange from the K shell and L shell of the target are presented. Comparisons with experimental data and other theoretical approximations are given. Keywords
