Abstract
Enlargement of rat adrenal and thyroid glands following the admn. of Amphenone "B", [l,2-bis-(p-aminophenyl)-2-methylpropanone-1 diHCl] a substituted desoxybenzoin, was confirmed. Adrenal enlargement was associated with an increase in adrenal cholesterol concn. At the same time the adrenals remained capable of secreting sufficient steroid to produce a marked fall in circulating eosinophiles. In addition to thyroid enlargement a marked decrease in I131 concn. in the the gland was observed. Decrease in size of the testes was observed in animals given Amphenone "B".Keywords
