Abstract

The authors consider a method of determining the electromagnetic field and power losses in ferromagnetic materials, using data from measured hysteresis loops. With the help of a GIER digital computer, the distribution of electromagnetic waves in solid iron and in steel sheets has been calculated. The results of these calculations are compared with measurements obtained from tests on samples.
