Abstract
Theories of convection are reviewed in regard mostly to the applicability to the stellar convection zone. Various attempts to study the stellar convection without the use of the convectional mixing-length theory are critically reviewed. A method of constructing stellar convection zones with the help of the turbulent diffusivities is suggested. Keywords
