Abstract
The analysis of Sakurai is extended to include variable-energy flows with particular reference to cylindrical spark channel formation. A new analysis in Lagrange coordinates enables the blast-wave decay to be studied and the number of differential equations to be reduced. A new approximation for finding the velocity of the shock front is presented. Keywords
