Abstract
Amphikuemin (1), a compound that is responsible for partner-recognition at the first encounter between anemonefish and sea anemones, has been synthesized to fondirm its structure and to supply material for further biological studies. Synthesis of amphikuemin analogs (11-15) is also described. Keywords
