Sound velocity of supercooled water down to −33 °C using acoustic levitation

Abstract
The sound velocity in supercooled water has been measured at 54 kHz down to −33 °C by means of an acoustic levitation method. The accuracy of the results is estimated to be within ±1.3%. Comparison with published data obtained at 5 GHz and 925 MHz indicates an anomalous sound velocity dispersion.Keywords
