Abstract
A case of carcinoma of the gallbladder in a 59 year old man, diagnosed preoperatively by percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography, is reported. A short segment of the cystic duct was opacified by reflux of contrast medium from the common bile duct. The cystic duct terminated in a concavity with a finely irregular border which corresponded to the intracystic duct infiltration of the neoplasm. The appearances have not been previously described and are thought to be characteristic. The causes of nonopacification of the gallbladder at percutaneous cholangiography are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
