Abstract
The kidneys of 32 [human] infants (ages 1 day-6 mo.) were examined sonographically. Accentuated corticomedullary differentiation was demonstrated in all of them. This is apparently a normal finding in neonatal kidneys. Anatomic and physiologic speculations are given to explain this phenomenon. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
