Abstract
The agglutination of living cercariae of S. mansoni by immune sera in high dilutions from monkeys with schistosome infection is reported. This reaction which occurs in heat-inactivated as well as in fresh serum also appears in the serum of monkeys recently infected with trichina. The agglutinin develops early in the acute infections and was absent in 4 of 7 chronic schistosome infections.
