Abstract
The charge-density wave in 1 -Ta has been observed by Mössbauer resonance of dilute substitutional . In the commensurate state, the isomer shift and quadrupole splitting are found to be almost proportional to the local charge density expected at the Fe site in the absence of this impurity.
