Abstract
The nuclear magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of have been derived from an analysis of the optical hyperfine structure of singly ionized . The hyperfine constants for the ground state are mK; mK. By using the known atomic-beam data for the [] state of neutral Pm to determine the contribution of the [] core to the observed magnetic-splitting factor, the splitting factor of the electron was found to be mK. The nuclear moments deduced from the hyperfine constants are nm and b.
