Abstract
This paper describes an experimental technique which has been used to study the physical and chemical changes which may be induced in powders heated to a high temperature very rapidly and held at that temperature for a short period of time before being quenched. The ability to produce particle suspensions of low flow-rate and specified size range is shown to be an essential prerequisite for flash heating studies. Keywords
