Abstract
The authors suggest that the blood group antigens currently known as Sm and Bua be renamed Sc 1 and Sc 2 respectively, that the blood group system which they comprise be called Scianna and the locus controlling their production Sc. Linkage analysis by the lod score method rules out close linkage between Sc and ABO, Do, Fy, Jk, MN and P.Keywords
