Über natürliche Aktivatoren und Hemmungskörper proteolytischer Enzyme.

Abstract
Substances like cysteine activated the enzymes of the papain, yeast proteinase, and kidney cathepsin type; whereas the di- and polypeptidases of yeast were inhibited. Different theories for this activation are discussed. Pancreatic trypsin was also inhibited by low concs. of HCN, H2S, cysteine, and pyrophosphate when trypsin was not fully activated by enterokinase. Cystine activated trypsin, which was not fully activated by enterokinase. A connection is pointed out between the oxidative processes in cells, and the proteolytic enzyme system.
