Abstract
Cutaneous benign neurofibromas are the most common skin manifestation of Von Recklinghausen neurofibromatosis (NF). An autosomal dominant disorder, NF has extraordinary clinical variability and multisystem involvement; many patients develop hundreds of cutaneous neurofibromas in a lifetime. This problem can easily and rapidly be treated using the CO2 laser with results equal to or better than excision. The procedure is very helpful for patients with large numbers of small- or medium-sized cutaneous neurofibromas. Keywords
