Abstract
An account is given of the biology of Descurainia sophia (L.) Webb. This species, commonly known as flixweed, is found throughout Canada, but is particularly prevalent as a weed in the cultivated fields of the Prairie Provinces. The paper is one of a series of the biology of Canadian weeds and is concerned primarily with those characteristics of the species which appear to present the main obstacles to its effective control.
