Abstract
The pressure dependence of the Knight shift in V metal is measured. The explicit temperature dependence of is derived from a previously obtained at constant pressure and the present pressure-dependence data. Several methods of estimating the volume dependence of the -band susceptibility are discussed. Using the estimated value for , the volume dependence of the orbital Knight shift was derived. It is concluded that the volume dependence of plays an important role for the volume dependence of .
