Abstract
The author presents a model for the determination of unquenched local moment and electrical field gradient in dilute ferromagnetic alloys of transition metals. The spin-orbit term is treated in the Hartree-Fock approximation following the method proposed by Yafet (1971) and Friedel's rule is introduced for the determination of selfconsistent impurity potentials. Results for dilute nickel alloys are consistent with the experimental data except that the EFG anisotropy is found experimentally to be rather small. Keywords
