Abstract
Ketosis was detected prior to clinical symptoms 69% of the time by use of a milk ketone test at weekly intervals. Three-fourths of the cows contracted some disease within 14 days of displaying a positive milk ketone test. Thus, testing milk for ketones could be a useful tool in maintenance of general herd health. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
