Abstract
We present exact mathematical programming formulation and a fast heuristic method for grouping a set of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). The assembly machines are configured for each group, thus saving set-up time, which is very long relative to process time. We extend previous work by allowing groups which contains common components of partial boards. An industrial case illustrates the proposed heuristic grouping method. Keywords
