Abstract
Comparable wooded areas heavily infested with tabanids were treated by plane with one of the following insecticides dispersed in a mixture of cyclohexanone and No. 1 fuel oil: methoxychlor, DDT, toxaphene or chlordane. Materials were applied at the rate of 2 lbs. of actual toxicant per acre. Results were erratic and no appreciable effect on fly populations could be demonstrated for any of the insecticides tried. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
