Abstract
The practical use of potash in crop production is related to the K requirement of the specific crop, on the ability of the soil to supply K to the plant, on the system of farming, and on methods of fertilization. Brief examples of exptl. evidence relating to each of these factors are given. Emphasis is placed on the relation of potash to crop quality, on differences in potash responses on various soils, on the relation of legumes to potash fertilization, on Ca-K relation-ships, and on the placement of K fertilizers.
