Abstract
A polarographic oxygen sensor pressed against a soft contact lens worn on the eye gives data from which can be calculated the oxygen flux into the cornea. The procedure requires knowledge of the diffusion coefficient and solubility of oxygen in the contact lens material. The procedure works best when used with contact lenses of about 40% water content. Keywords
