Abstract

As confirmed by X-ray data, the four ternary compounds CaZn₂P ₂, CaCd₂P₂, CaZn₂As₂, and CaCd₂As₂ crystallize trigonally in a CaAl₂Si₂-type structure. Some conditions for the existence of this structure type are given.
