Abstract
Symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia is an important urological problem. Accurate diagnosis relies upon a balanced assessment of symptoms, physical examination and appropriate urodynamic assessment. Failure to use such an approach will lead to incorrect diagnosis in a proportion of patients. Keywords
