Abstract
Design and performance of a cryostat with a rotatable sample stage for operation in ultrahigh vacuum is reported. The cryostat, which is designed for adsorption studies on single-crystal metals at low temperatures, has a temperature range of 5.5≤T≤800 K. Sample cooling from 800 to 5.5 K is achieved in about 90 min. Keywords
