Abstract
This bibliography provides a list of more than 350 references useful for the identification of Heteroptera from all regions of the world. The cited literature is primarily restricted to principal references that facilitate identification, either through the provision of keys or by providing information (e.g., classifications/phylogenies, distributions, illustrations) that is useful in conjunction with other supportive primary works. These include major catalogues, faunal works, and revisionary studies containing identification keys to genera and/or family-level groups. At least one reference is given for each of the 73 recognized families. References to revisionary studies of individual genera and species-groups are not included unless the group is of major economic importance. All cited papers are cross-referenced under family and higher-group names following a recently published classification of the order. Keywords
