Abstract
Intersexual specimens and castrated females of Amphipsylla sibirica were found among fleas collected in the Stora Sjöfallet National Park and in the Vittangi area in northern Sweden as well as at Straumsnes in northern Norway; some similarly sexually abnormal specimens from mountainous regions in Czechoslovakia are also referred to here. The incidence of A. sibirica in Scandinavia is analysed in relation to the degree of nematode invasion which probably caused the sexual abnormalities which are described in detail.
