Abstract
We estimate the baryon distribution in highly relativistic heavy-ion collisions in order to determine the baryon impurity of the quark-gluon plasma in the central rapidity region. In the energy range of GeV per nucleon, the degree of impurity, which can be improved slightly with increasing bombarding energy, is a few percent in energy density.
