Wind Effects in the North Sea

Abstract
Observed wind-induced fluxes in the Norwegian Trench and on the shallower North Sea Plateau are strongly coupled insofar as variations in one are associated with corresponding but opposing variations in the other. A simple mathematical model indicates that this coupling is topographically controlled.
