Abstract
112 strains taken from endocarditis patients, from type cultures and from dental extraction patients were tested serologically and for dextran production. Production of serologically active dextran occurred in 45% of sera from endocarditis patients and was usually associated with a Lancefield Group H reaction. Keywords
