Abstract
Equilibrium product distributions for a variety of hydrocarbon-air mixtures containing hetero-atoms such as chlorine, nitrogen, and sulfur were calculated. These studies indicated that the origins of some of the pollutant emissions from incinerators can be traced to local equilibrium limitations. Equilibrium calculations also suggest the need to undertake optimization studies to minimize pollutant emissions from incinerators. Keywords
