Abstract
Endometrial ablation is associated with a shorter operative time, fewer complications, less use of analgesics, a shorter convalescence and a quicker time to return to work than hysterectomy in the treatment of menorrhagia. Endometrial resection costs the health service provider less money than hysterectomy; however, women randomized to hysterectomy have reported slightly higher rates of satisfaction than those randomized to endometrial resection. Keywords
