Abstract
The bed bug, Cimex lectularius L., emits an odor which was described by Kemper (1926) as an “obnoxious sweetness.” The scent apparatus, in adults, is situated in the metathorax at the base of the abdomen, against the inner face of the ventral wall. The scent apparatus consists of glands and a reservoir. Keywords
