Abstract
Debrisoquin sulfate is a moderately potent antihypertensive agent with a predominant orthostatic antihypertensive action. The antihypertensive effect of the drug appears to be due primarily to a decrease in cardiac output. There is no consistent effect on total peripheral resistance. Renal hemodynamic functions are not affected significantly in the supine position; however, when more significant blood pressure reduction is produced with upright posture, consistent diminution in renal blood flow follows. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
