Abstract
Treatment of [Mo(MeCN)3(CO)3] with NOPF6–MeCN gives cis-[Mo(NO)2(MeCN)4]2+[PF6 –]2, (I). The corresponding reaction of [W(MeCN)3(CO)3] affords cis-[W(NO)2(CO)(MeCN)3]2+[PF6 –]2, (III). Reaction of (I) and (III) with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate gives the known complexes cis-[M(NO)2(S2CNEt2)2](M = Mo or W), whereas, reaction with acetylacetone–Na2CO3 gives the new compounds cis-[M(NO)2(acac)2](M = Mo or W).Keywords
