Abstract
Hematologic, osmotic, blood chemical, serum electrophoretic and serum enzymatic studies were made on blood from 6 North Atlantic Pilot Whales (Globicephala melaena). The hematological and chemical values did not differ appreciably from those of dolphins, but were in general slightly higher. The plasma enzyme levels varied greatly from those of the dog and horse. The serum protein values were comparable to those of the dolphins, dogs and horses, however, the electrophoretic patterns differed. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
