Abstract
Starting from 2‐methoxycarbonyl tricyclo|3.3.0.02,8|octanone‐3 (5b) am alternative synthesis of 2‐methoxycarbonyl‐cis‐bicyclo|3.3.0|‐2‐octenone‐6 (9) is reported. 9 has previously been used as an intermediate for (±)‐mussaenoside (3) and (±)‐8‐epiloganin (4).Keywords
