Abstract
Since the publication of a paper by Freundlich (Kolloid-Z., 46, 289 (1929)), in which the term “thixotropy” was applied to the transient change in consistence resulting from the agitation of a gelating gelatin sol, several papers have appeared in the current literature dealing with this phenomenon. Since Freundlich, in the publication referred to, treats of thixotropic behavior in relation to consistence, the object of the present communication is to draw attention to the thixotropic phenomena of the specific factors characterizing dispersoid systems.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
