Abstract
The author draws on experiential and theoretical aspects of in-home family therapy to outline the applications and benefits of the family horneas a therapeutic setting. Family therapy that is conducted in the home has unique qualities and potential advantages. Ac-tual case material and a critique of current practices of social service systems are combined in a challenge to service providers to expand the field of service options by reincorporating and revaluing direct exposure to clients' social reality. In-home therapy is both a diagnostic tool and a potent therapy model. Keywords
