Abstract
The specific heat of dilute alloys of the type palladium‐cobalt has been measured in the temperature range from 1.2 to 30 K in external magnetic fields up to 30 kOe. Due to a high accuracy detailed results have been obtained. The excess specific heat appears to be strongly affected by magnetic fields. A comparison between palladium and platinum alloys reflects the smaller exchange enhancement in platinum. Preliminary results on dilute alloys of manganese in palladium show a striking difference between this element and cobalt and iron, when dissolved in palladium. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
