Abstract
The steady-state freezing of liquids of low Prandtl number in turbulent flow between parallel plates, the walls of which are kept at uniform temperature lower than the freezing temperature of the liquid, is solved by matched asymptotic technique. The location of the liquid-solid interface and the heat transfer rate are established as a function of the axial position along the channel.Keywords
